Jesus shows us exactly what it means to humble yourself. Fully knowing He was coming to die, Christ came. That changed us.
From a young age, we both desired to be parents and knew almost immediately upon meeting that we were going to marry each other. All our lives, we viewed marriage and parenting as good things but had an incomplete understanding of God's design for them. Our hope was placed outside of Christ, and it only created codependence and depression.
On the verge of giving up, we started coming to church, and Christ drew us closer to Himself every week. When we fully submitted to God and laid everything on the cross, we were overcome with His love and goodness. That abundance God gives you is meant to overflow into your spouse, down to your children, and out to all His people.
We now see our marriage as a covenant and parenting as a process of sanctification.
